Mortar is a workable paste that hardens to connect construction blocks such as stones, bricks, and concrete masonry and seal uneven gaps between them. Self-leveling concrete is a high flow cement which does not require the addition of excessive volumes of water for use. This material is used on uneven surfaces which once set, provides a leveled base to work from.
